1. Saffron Toucanet Baillonius bailloni, Itatiaia National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 14, 2003.  Another species that is localized to the now highly fragmented Atlantic forests of eastern Brazil, northeastern Argentina and eastern Paraguay, the Saffron Toucanet is unique amongst the toucans in it's plain olive and yellow plumage and is placed in it's own monotypic genus.

2. Saffron Toucanet B. bailloni, Itatiaia National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 14, 2003.  Same individual as above.  This species was encountered at the forest edge around the Hotel do Ype and was even seen visiting the hotel feeders early in the morning, before there was much human activity in the area.
